Civil Rights Pilgrimage Registration

St. Katherine of Alexandria Episcopal Church and Memorial Episcopal Church, will consider the continuing struggle for civil rights on a pilgrimage to historic sites in Alabama, during Lent, 2019.  

• To reexamine the gospel story, through the lens of the civil rights struggle;

• To further build community among our two congregations;

• To experience our oneness in Christ;

• To bring our learning back to both parish communities

Estimated cost: $600-$700 (incl. travel, double-occupancy hotel, admission fees, but not meals).  We are negotiating group travel rates, and hope to come in at the low end of the range.

Group size: 15 people from each of the two congregations. 

Space reservation will be on a first-come, first-serve basisReceipt of a deposit of $200 per participant is required to reserve a space.  Please send checks to: Memorial Episcopal Church, 1407 Bolton Street, Baltimore, MD 21217.  Be sure to note “Pilgrimage” in the memo line on your deposit check.  The balance will be due in equal installments on January 1 and February 1, 2019.
