You can often see Andrew and Alyssa walking their dog Hazel in the neighborhood or out on regular runs. Andrew is a lifelong Episcopalian originally baptized in Michigan and he and Alyssa were married at St. John's Lafayette Square in Washington, DC in 2018. During the day Andrew is a health data lobbyist for the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) advocating on behalf of AHIMA members on issues related to the intersection of technology and healthcare. Krulak Amy Krulak is a lifelong Episcopalian and a member of Memorial Episcopal Church her entire adult life. She first attended Memorial Episcopal as a recent college graduate in 1987 and after returning to Baltimore in 1991 joined the Church. She was married at Memorial in 1993 and her oldest and youngest children were both baptized here. Amy has been on the Board of the Samaritan Community from 1996-1999 and from 2009-2021. Amy and her children participated in the first three Musicals with the Memorial Players, and she is presently serving her second term on the Vestry. Amy has remained dedicated to this Church and community even after her parents moved to Baltimore in 1998 for her dad to take the leadership of St. David’s Episcopal Church Roland Park. Part of Amy’s dedication to this community stems from this Church’s dedication to a social justice ministry. This coincides with her concurrent professional focus as a clinical social worker committed to equity and growth. Amy started her professional career working for DC. Unfortunately, many of the students in the 21217 live below the poverty line, which means many will be unequipped with the school supplies they will need for the 2024-2025 school year. The Justice and Reparations Committee will be hosting a school supply fundraiser. Our goal is to collect enough supplies to pack 50 Bookbags. Our school supply fundraiser will run from 06/21/2024 - 08/09/2024. Supplies can be brought to the church on Sundays; a Supplies Bin will be located in the rear of the church. Supplies can also be brought to the church on 08/10/2024 during the Back-To-School Book Bag Stuffing Event. You can also submit cash via the Justice and Reparations donations page. Nathaniel Gibson! Nathaniel was ordained a Deacon on June 13, 2021, and was assigned as the Deacon for The Episcopal Church of St. Michael & All Angels in Baltimore, Maryland. Before becoming a minister in the Episcopal Church, he was the Principal of Milford Mill Academy in the Baltimore County School System from where he retired in 2015. Prior to Milford, he served as a principal in the Anne Arundel County School System, an Assistant Principal in the Baltimore City School System and a Special Education Teacher/Department Chair in the Howard County School System. He proudly served as an Army Officer until his retirement as a Field Grade Officer in 1992. His Passion is to serve, with a focus on the poor and homeless and LGBTQIA+ communities that are in our neighborhood. Welcome to Nathaniel+, who will be joining Memorial on October 18th. I wanted to share some information with you all to help navigate the day. We will all gather at the staging spot, which is #91. Our staging spot is located on Art Museum Drive. Please plan to arrive by 12:30 pm. There is no prescribed parking. Carpooling is encouraged, if possible. Keep in mind that vehicles will not be allowed in the staging area. Also, remember that you will need to be able to get back to your vehicle after walking the length of the parade (about 10 blocks). We will have a bunch of swag to give away, but you should feel free to bring swag of your own. You are also invited to bring any gear to wear. To support her habit of living in Bolton Hill, she works at the Department of Veterans Affairs in the small business office.
